Access Control
Norwich, Cambridge & Ipswich

Access control systems can now be installed in Norwich, Cambridge and Ipswich to allow access to buildings and individual rooms from single doors to multiple door network systems. Sonata Security can offer a full access control design and installation tailored to your needs from mechanical digital locks to full PC based access control.

Access control to buildings has always caused a problem for security. This right of access to a building - whether an airport, hospital, hotel, office or factory - can now be controlled through Access Control Systems.

Before access control, it used to be a matter of trust that keys to premises were issued. Sadly, this is no longer the case. For larger premises, access to the rooms inside the building can be an issue as well as the entry and exit to buildings.

We can also offer full test, commission and maintenance on all types of access control systems as well as burglar alarms & home security, fire alarms, cctv systems or interested in electric gates.

Intercoms

Intercoms allow the control of a range of doors, from single entry doors to a full apartment complex. These systems allow communication from the main entrance door to individual handsets at reception desks, or in apartments.

An intercoms system can be a simple audio system, or a full colour video system with night time illumination. Keypads and proximity readers can also be added to the intercoms system to allow ease of access for staff or residents.

GSM mobile phone systems can be installed for remote locations or off-site access control and for more difficult installations, wireless intercoms can also be installed.

Electric Access Control

Progression from mechanical locks to electronic locking systems can be from simple keypads through to biometric recognition. Keypad Systems work on the basis that a four-digit code is entered which, if correct, will unlock the door. These systems are usually used on low security doors. The next progression is to stand alone Proximity Based Systems which use a unique proximity device for each user; this can be in the form of a token, card or key fob. These systems are for higher security doors and doors that need more control of entry.

Readers range from basic fingerprint readers, to full hand readers, through to iris recognition. These are for high security sites where total lock-down is required, such as laboratories, power stations, banks or government offices.
